Conditions of use plus Health and Safety Precautions
Arrival. All users of the site must report to the Duty Warden at the Bungalow, where sites will be allocated or access to the Centres arranged. Please note the earliest arrival time on a Friday for a weekend booking is 6pm.
Emergency Contact list for your group should be handed into the Duty Warden when you arrive, access will not be given to camping fields or centres until the form has been received.
Fees will be collected on your last morning on the Campsite, if not paid in advance.
No animals may be brought on to the Campsite, except for help dogs (ie guide dogs for the blind).
Cycles are welcome on site, but must not be ridden on the site.
All non-residents must leave the Site by 11pm unless special arrangements have been made with the Duty Warden.
Quiet Period. The hours of quiet on the Campsite are from 11pm to 7am.
Fires and Wood. Wood must be obtained only from the wood pile and all excess wood should be returned to the wood pile at the end of your visit. Under no circumstances may saws, axes or knives be used on standing timber (trees and bushes etc.) Wood fires are only allowed on altar fires which are provided. Campers may use their own altar fires, provided they are constructed so that they do not damage the grass or drop hot embers. The Campsite has only a limited amount of fire grids.
Rubbish. As there is a limited facility for the disposal of rubbish all users are asked to burn as much rubbish as possible, particularly waste food, and are also asked to pick up any rubbish on the site whether or not it is their own. The digging of pits is strictly forbidden.
Disinfectants. To safeguard the septic tank system it is essential that no disinfectants, bleaches or chemicals (including chemical toilets), are used in any of the buildings, the Toilet Block or discharged down any drain on the Site. Only cleaning fluids marked "BIO-DEGRADABLE" should be used.
Chemical Toilets can only be used on Site and emptied into the septic tank system if they are filled with plain water only.
Cleaning of the Toilet Block. All Site users must be prepared to assist with the cleaning of the Toilet Block or other small jobs as required by the Duty Warden.
Fire Precautions. A fire practice must be held and all users of the Site must take part. Whenever the alarm is heard all campers must go to the EMERGENCY ASSEMBLY POINT in the Training Field, check numbers and remain until told to disperse.
Bounds. All the surrounding farm land is out of bounds to users of the site.
Motor Vehicles and Caravans must be parked in the car park and must not be driven on to the campsites. Hand trolleys are available for carrying equipment etc. Caravans are only allowed by prior arrangement and a charge is made.
The speed limit on the drive and the car park is 5 MPH and drivers should keep a sharp lookout for children. Unloading or parking on the Campsite Drive is not allowed at anytime.
Washing up of cooking and eating utensils is to be done in camp kitchens.
Personal Belongings and Equipment The Management Committee cannot accept any responsibility for personal belongings or equipment of users on the Site. It is suggested that in addition to normal precautions, a check should be made that all such items are adequately covered by insurance.
First Aid All users are expected to provide their own First Aid Kit to deal with minor accidents. All Accidents & Illness must be reported to the Duty Warden and an accident form completed.
Departure. Clearance must be obtained from the Duty Warden before departure. A time for checking cleanliness of buildings & campsites must be arranged with the Duty Warden in advance. It should be noted that the latest time on Sundays is 4.30pm.
