The Lodge

The Lodge provides accommodation for small groups and has sleeping accommodation for 20 persons. It is possible to arrange for other people to camp near the Lodge and use the Lodge for indoor activities. Camp fees are payable for numbers above 20. Outside the Lodge there is a flag green area with flagpole which is for the exclusive use of users of the Lodge. Please note that camping or pitching of tents is not permitted on the flag green.

Sleeping

There are twelve bunks in the main room. There are also two separate carpeted rooms with four bunks in each. All the bunks are complete with mattresses and pillows with pillowcases. For hygiene reasons all users must bring their own top pillowcases and use them (pillowcases are available for hire at 25p each if users forget to bring their own)

Main Room

Apart from sleeping the main room (40ft by 20ft) is used as a dining area and activity room complete with tables and chairs.

Kitchen

The kitchen, refurbished in 2004, is fully equipped with sinks, a six burner cooker, fridge/freezer, tea boiler, cooking utensils, cutlery and crockery for 20 people. Tea towels and cleaning materials are not provided.

Toilet

There is a night toilet provided in the building.

Leaders Lounge

A room intended for use of Leaders.

Services

There is ample hot and cold water supply in the kitchen, electricity and ducted hot air heating is provided throughout the building.

Health and Safety

The Lodge is equipped with emergency lighting, fire alarm, smoke detectors and emergency exits. An electronic fly catcher is provided in the Kitchen.

Charges

Please see the charges for 2010 for full details, there are no hidden extras, all electricity, gas and heating are included in the price.
